An NFP Board approached us with concerns about how management was handling finance and operations.
Challenge:
The organisation’s existing accountants were not providing an accurate financial picture. Key milestones were being missed, and there was a significant risk that the organisation would ultimately fail.
Our approach:
The Board replaced the management team. We worked closely with the new leadership to establish a capable finance and operations team, implement timely and accurate reporting, and ensure compliance with funders’ KPIs.
Significant effort was required to stabilise the organisation, address historical issues, and meet funding requirements to avoid recoupment.
Outcome:
The organisation’s financial position improved significantly, turning around from an approximate loss of $500K to a surplus of $500K within 12 months.
