HR System Implementation for Not-for-Profit Organisations

The Case Objective

Challenge

Three not-for-profit organisations were implementing ELMO HR across HR Core, Recruitment and Onboarding, with Performance and Learning modules to follow. Each organisation had a complex workforce structure including employees, volunteers, contractors and student placements, creating challenges around system structure, payroll integration, volunteer management, reporting and security access.

Our Approach

Maxop worked with the organisations to design and configure the HR system architecture, including departments, locations, job roles, positions and job codes. We developed business process flowcharts, supported data structure and configuration decisions, prepared implementation documentation, and identified key controls and approval points across recruitment, onboarding and other HR processes.

Outcomes

The work provided each organisation with a stronger foundation for its ELMO implementation, improving data readiness, clarifying HR processes and responsibilities, and strengthening governance around system configuration and ongoing management. The organisations were better positioned to progress implementation with clearer decisions, more consistent processes and improved system structure.

Maxop brings a strong combination of senior governance experience and contemporary technical expertise, providing organisations with the right mix of skills and resources to successfully implement HR systems.
